Yoga

“Every time I get onto my yoga mat. I get a little closer to me. It’s always a special time. A mini vacation”

I have been practicing yoga since 2004. I entered a yoga studio because I was desperate to heal my body, (following a few injuries). At the time it was just about getting to move my body. My first class left my arms and legs trembling. But I went back again and again. It took willpower and determination, and a healthy dose of inspiration from my yoga Guru, Christine Withiel, for all of 3 years.

I did my 200hr teacher training at the Jivananda Centre for Wellbeing. Now yoga is a passion of mine. This experience changed not only my body, but helped me to shift on every other level of my being. I love how it has allowed me to get to know myself better, to slow down and just breathe, to meet each day with deep love and gratitude, and to support myself more. I have learnt that this is the key to feeling better.

My most impactful lesson was to realise the value of being all there – wherever it is I am(Still a challenge, but practice makes it better). I also learnt that you don’t have to be perfect at yoga, to do yoga. I just have to be willing to enter my mat space and see where it leads me.

You just need to learn to love your experience and enjoy the endless benefits it brings. Now I love to teach and share this art in a way that supports my patients and clients in every way. I have been hosting yoga and sound healing events, as well as Wellness Day Retreats.

Online session are done twice weekly on the Zoom platform.
